Eric Grigsby, MD, MBA: Conference Director

Eric Grigsby is this year’s Napa Pain Conference director

Dr. Eric Grigsby is the Founder and Medical Director of the Napa Pain Institute in Napa, California and the Spine and Pain Center of Kauai.

He continues to practice as a board certified pain physician and is among the world’s clinical leaders in the field of neuromodulation.

Dr. Grigsby is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Neurovations, a clinical research and education company specializing in pain and neurologic disease.

A graduate of Brown University with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Economics, he completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Eric Grigsby completed his residency training in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then received his Masters in Business Administration in Health Sector Management from Duke University.

Eric Grigsby brought hope to thousands of pain patients in the North Bay area and across the nation

Dr. Eric Grigsby was interested in healthcare and community service even before he began medical school. He volunteered with disabled children at the Boston Children’s Hospital department of orthopedic surgery.

It was there he realized the extent of the pain and suffering that patients with chronic illness endured.

Grigsby’s commitment to find ways to address chronic pain turned into a lifelong mission to advocate for better pain care as a physician, an industry innovator, and a global health philanthropist.

Eric has worked his whole life to provide the best care for every patient every day. Through years of hard work, determination, and a knack of business, Grigsby has built a well-earned reputation as a leader in global health service, pain management, and community education.

Today, Eric Grigsby is still an active voice in the ongoing conversation around safe prescribing and works with major hospital groups to improve their prescribing practices, ensuring the best and safest care for all.
